A10 flew over base, turned, and then came directly over the office trailer. Shit was tight. I’m hoping to catch a B-25 if they come in tonight.

I had that plane in my GIJoes, that and the aircraft carrier, and lots of others. Never saw one in real life.

The most impressive fly-over I’ve ever seen was an afterburner pass from a B-1. It was unreal.

I was racing at Road America several years ago in a support race for ALMS, and a flight of A-10’s flew over and started doing runs up and down the straight between turns 3 and 5. It was kind of surreal.

I just saw your other posts which back that up. You should really give the DC area a shot.

I used to go to AAFB air show with dad. That was the first time I saw a Harrier. It was magical.

I actually spent my school’s career day (can’t remember if it was 7th or 8th grade) with the 113th ANG wing at Andrews. Learned to pack parachutes, and flew about an hour in the simulator. I believe we bombed Ft Belvoir’s Davison Army Airfield on that simulator sortie that day.

Belvoir would have been none too pleased about that I suspect. Not quite sure what you mean about giving the DC area a shot. I grew up in PG county and now reside in Baltimore County, and the past 5 or 6 years I was working in DC on construction projects. I like DC, but I hate parking there.

You need to see one before they get retired! Where are you? The A-10 units are spread out between Michigan, Indiana, Idaho, Missouri, Georgia, Nevada and Arizona plus a unit in South Korea.

I was on Kent Island on Friday (the 18th) and an A-10 flew overhead.

Then on Sunday afternoon, a P-51 flew over 495 while we were riding by Andrews.

The P-51 would have been coming from the Air Show. Very cool.
